Apache Geode (incubating) is a distributed key-value store built for scale and performance. It is used in production by multiple projects, including the Chinese and Indian railways for handling the performance/scaling need of their online ticketing application. In this presentation we will dive into the architecture of Geode, see what it has to offer beyond a key-value store and see how to develop a scalable application using Geode's key features.
Swapnil Bawaskar is a committer on Geode and has been working on the project for the last 8 years (while working at Gemstone system, VMware and now at Pivotal).
William Markito is an enterprise architect with focus on system integration and highly distributed systems. William currently works at Pivotal and was formerly at Oracle, BEA, and Ericsson. He is a co-author of the "Java EE Tutorial" and "Oracle Getting Started with WebLogic 12c: Developer's Guide"
