SeaJUG is an all volunteer effort - which means items such as the website and mailing list are updated as schedules afford. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. We need suggestions/volunteers for topics! If you'd like to donate your time/skills to the cause, contact Nimret Sandhu.
In the spirit of the recent State of the Union address, Ted Neward will present a brief 'State of the Union: Java Edition' to describe what he sees going on in the Java world-and in the larger world of software development in general-and how it will affect those who are developing and running applications on the JVM. He'll then take questions from the audience on any loosely-related Java or JVM topic, until the audience runs out of questions, the meeting runs out of time, or the universe runs out of Diet Coke.
Ted Neward is the CTO of iTrellis, a consulting services company located in Bellevue, Washington. He is an internationally-recognized speaker at conferences on both Java and .NET, including Microsoft TechEd, Sun's JavaOne, the NoFluffJustStuff software symposia, JAX, and more. He's written a dozen books, hundreds of articles, blogs at http://blogs.tedneward.com, and has served on several Java JSRs and Microsoft 'Insider' review boards. He lives in Redmond, WA.
